Raad Mohammad Al Kurdi

Raad Mohammad Al Kurdi is a well-renowned Qari and Imam who hails from Kurdistan in Iraq. He is an Imam at the Imam al-Shafi’i Mosque in Kirkuk and a visiting imam at the Ahmad al-Habbai Mosque in Dubai during the month of Ramadan.

Early Life and Education

Born in 1991, as a child, Al Kurdi participated in many Quranic competitions and won most of them. He is also a graduate of the Institute of Imams and Preachers in the city of Kirkuk.

Career

In 2007, he was 15 years old when he became an imam of the Imam al-Shafi’i Mosque in the city of Kirkuk. Al Kurdi is still the imam of the mosque now.

Recognition

His distinctive voice and style of reciting the Qur’an is highly regarded worldwide, making him immensely popular on social media.
