Maulana Mazharul Haque Died

This day, marks the 92nd death anniversary of Maulana Mazharul Haque a prominent aide of the Indian freedom struggle during the Khilafat and Non-Cooperation Movement. His home, the ‘Ashiyana’ was dedicated for Freedom Fighters. His legacy lives as an Indian post stamp and the Maulana Mazharul Haq Arabic Persian University, Patna.


Granada Falls To Spaniards

On this day in 1492, Spanish forces conquered Granada. Sultan Boabdil-led Granada, was the last city to fall, ending 780 years of Muslim rule in the Spanish Peninsula. The siege expelled Jews and Muslims from Spain, destroying a flourishing society of harmonious religious tolerance amidst a prosperous culture of science and learning.
