Tripura UAPA Case: ‘Criticising Govt Is Not Anti-National’, Says Adv Ansar Indori

Last week, two Delhi-based lawyers, who were members of a fact-finding team that visited Tripura after it witnessed anti-Muslim violence were issued a notice by Tripura Police informing them that a case has been registered against them under section 13 of the draconian Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA), apart from other Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections.

We speak to Adv Ansar Indori, one of the lawyers, about the case against him and how UAPA is being used to gainst journalists, academics, students and activists who question and criticize government policies.
