On This Day In Muslim History: January 13

Mohammad Iqbal Shedai Died

On this day, on 13 January 1974, Mohammad Iqbal Shedai, the freedom fighter who travelled pan-Asia for support for India’s Independence died. He founded the Azad Hind Government in exile in Rome and established the Himalaya Radio, which broadcasted to India from Italy, criticizing British rule and urging people to strive for their freedom.
