On This Day In Muslim History: February 28

Sultan Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq Died

This day, 28 February 1325, marks the death anniversary of Ghiyath al-Din Tughluq, the founder of the Tughluq dynasty in India who reestablished the military might of the Delhi Sultanate. A firm and wise ruler he also established the system of taxes, improved the means of communication and conditions of roads, bridges and canals.
