On This Day In Muslim History: February 27

Bahadur Shah I Died

This day, 27 February 1712, marks the death anniversary of Mughal Emperor, Bahadur Shah I. Aged 65 when ascending a turbulent reign of revolts, he followed a policy of compromise and conciliation and even reversed some narrow-minded policies of his predecessors. Learned, dignified, and deserving he was tolerant of minorities despite their aggression towards him.
