Two RSS Workers Arrested In Connection With Kerala SDPI Leader’s Killing

Two RSS workers have been arrested, in connection with the murder of SDPI leader KS Shan in Kerala’s Alappuzha district.

Shan, the state secretary of SDPI, was hacked to death on Saturday night. The party has accused RSS of being behind the killing.

The accused have been identified as Kochukuttan and Prasad, both natives of Mannanchery in the district.

“Both were involved in the conspiracy that led to the murder,” said police.

“Prasad arranged a vehicle for the gang that was used in the killing of Shan. The gang included around 10 people. The five people who were directly involved with the murder has gone into hiding,” said V Jayadev, Alappuzha superintendent of police, TOI reported.

Following the killing of the SDPI state secretary Shan late Saturday night, the BJP leader Sreenivas was hacked to death less than 12 hours later on Sunday morning.

Prohibitory orders under CrPC Section 144 were imposed in the entire Alappuzha district and additional police forces were deployed there and senior officers camped there to monitor the law and order situation.
