Twitterati Call Out Modi’s Hypocrisy, After He Said He’ll Hand Over Social Media Accounts To Women

Days after Delhi witnessed one of its worst communal violence in decades, which Narendra Modi is yet to condemn, and probably never will, he has announced he will be giving away his social media accounts to women on Women’s Day.

On Monday, Modi posted a tweet expressing his intention to quit social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube. His announcement created a frenzy on the internet, taking away the attention from the anti-Muslim pogrom in Delhi, which has claimed 49 lives so far and displaced thousands.

Turned out, the tweet was only to create curiosity for a campaign for International Women’s Day on 8 March.
