KS Shan, the state secretary of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) in Kerala, was hacked to death in Kerala’s Alappuzha district on Saturday night. SDPI leadership has accused RSS of being behind the killing.
Shan was brutally attacked while he was on his way back home. He succumbed to his injuries at a Kochi hospital around midnight.
MK Faizy, national president of SDPI blamed the RSS for the murder of Shan and urged the Kerala government to initiate strong measures to curb RSS rampage in the state and ensure peaceful life for the people.
Following the killing of Shan, a BJP functionary was killed. BJP’s OBC Morcha’s state secretary Ranjeet Sreenivas was hacked to death in his home by some assailants who barged into his house on Sunday morning, police said.
