Punjab Shahi Imam Maulana Habib Ur Rehman Saani Ludhianvi passed away at a private hospital in Ludhiana after a brief illness.
The 63-year-old Islamic scholar died on Thursday night. He is survived by his wife, a daughter and two sons.
Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Friday condoled the demise of the Shahi Imam.
He described the Shahi Imam, as a spiritual personality, who always propagated the message of love, peace and harmony amongst the masses. The Chief Minister also shared heartfelt sympathies with the members of the bereaved family and relatives
