Shah Abdul Wahhab Died
Today (25 January 1919) marks the death anniversary of Shah Abdul Wahhab, a reformist and Islamic scholar from Vellore, South India who endeavoured to fight against innovations in Islam and later established the Madrasa Al-Baqiyat As-Salihat to further his unmatched efforts of leading the campaign in South India of spreading the message of Islam.
Muhammad Shafi Daudi Died
This day (25 January 1949) marks the death anniversary of Muhammad Shafi Daudi, a Muslim scholar, politician and freedom fighter who fought for Independence alongside the leaders of the Indian National Congress and All India Muslim League. Elected to the Central Legislative Assembly he was also General Secretary of All India Muslim Conference.
