Saifuddin Kitchlew Was Born

On this day, on 15 January 1888, Dr Saifuddin Kitchlew, freedom fighter, barrister and politician was born. He was the founding member of both the Jamia Millia Islamia and Indian Youth Congress, which rallied young Indians to the cause of revolution. It was his arrest, along with other leaders that caused the protest rally, which led to the infamous Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
