Hafizur Rahman Wasif Dehlavi Was Born

On this day, on 10 February 1910, Hafizur Rahman Wasif Dehlavi, scholar, jurist, calligrapher, literary critic, and Urdu poet was born. Son of Kifayatullah Dehlawi, the Grand Mufti of India, he participated in the Indian freedom struggle movement and authored a nine-volume compilation of the edicts (fatwas) of his father, along with his other books.
