The Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to teach his companions to say:
“O Allah, unite our hearts, mend our ties, guide us to the pathways of peace, deliver us from darknesses to light, save us from hidden and apparent indecencies, and bless our ears, our eyes, our hearts, our spouses, our progenies, and accept our repentance as you are the one who guides to repentance and accepts it, the Most Merciful. Make us grateful for your favour upon us by allowing us to praise you for it as we accept it, and perfect it for us.” (Abu Dawud 969)
