Dua to Seek Allah’s Forgiveness
Abu-Hurayrah, [may Allāh be pleased with him], narrated that the Messenger of Allāh, صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ, would recite in prostration:
اللَّهمَّ اغفِر لي ذنبي كُلَّهُ دِقَّهُ، وجِلَّهُ، وأوَّلَهُ وآخرَهُ وعلانيتَهُ وسِرَّهُ.
Allāhumma-ghfir li dhambi kullahu diqqahu, wajillahu, wa awwalahu wa ākhirahu wa alāniyatahu wa sirrahu.
“O’ Allāh, grant me forgiveness for all my sins, whether significant or trivial, the first and last of them, those committed openly and those in secret.”
