OpenAI’s ChatGPT, went offline on Tuesday in what users in several nations reported as a global outage.
People in the United States, Asia, and Europe all reported that the ChatGPT service was not operating at around 9:50 a.m. ET on Tuesday.
At the top of the website was a message that said, “Failed to get service status.”
The chatbot responds when a prompt is entered with “Something went wrong. Please get in touch with us via our help centre at help.openai.com if this problem continues.
There was no immediate indication on what caused the outage, and it is unclear how long it will take to fix. The downtime was not mentioned on OpenAI’s status page.
