Campus Front Of India Members Protest Against National Education Policy (NEP) At Mangalore University

The members of the Campus Front of India (CFI) staged a protest against the National Education Policy (NEP) during its inauguration by Minister for Higher Education Dr C N Ashwath Narayana, at the Mangalore University on Monday.

The students urged the government and Mangalore University not to implement NEP.

The police took all the protesters to custody.

The National Education Policy- 2020 has drawn widespread criticism for furthering inequalities, promoting privatisation, undermining the Right to Education Act and most importantly, replacing constitutional values with banal ideas such as seva, ahimsa, swacchta and sacrifice.
