AMU Students Protest Against Anti-Muslim Violence In Tripura

Students of Aligarh Muslim University staged a protest Thursday against the ongoing anti-Muslim violence in Tripura.

Anti-Muslim violence continues unabated in Tripura even a week after it erupted.

According to Muslim organisations,  the mobs have attacked mosques and neighbourhoods dominated by Muslims.

15 mosques were vandalized and 3 were destroyed in several parts of the State.

Tripura police, however, has said that no mosque was burnt.

The attacks followed a rally taken out by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) under the pretext of protests against attacks on minorities in Bangladesh.
