Zaira Wasim, Locusts & The Quran

Former Bollywood actress Zaira Wasim was criticized and abused by trolls for sharing a verse from the Holy Qur’an that they alleged ‘justifies’ the locust attacks in India.

While some called her post insensitive, at a time when the country is battling with the worst locust attack, some targeted the Holy Qur’an, compelling Zaira to quit social media.
