In a grand congregation set to span three days, the Tablighi Jamaat Ijtema commenced in Akola, drawing an expected participation of over 50,000 people. The sprawling assembly hall, situated on a 160-acre expanse at the western end of Ganga Nagar on Patur Road, serves as the central venue for this significant event.
Participants from various districts of Maharashtra, including Akola, Amrauti, Vasham, Baldana, and Ayut Mahal, are actively engaging in the Ijtema. Moreover, a substantial number of Muslims from across the country have gathered, creating a diverse and vibrant assembly.
The organizers have diligently prepared for the event over the past month, ensuring the necessary infrastructure to accommodate the large number of attendees. Among the notable arrangements are 200 toilets and bathrooms constructed in both the north and south directions, providing essential facilities for the participants. Additionally, 1,200 ablution boxes have been strategically placed in three directions, facilitating simultaneous ablutions for the multitude of individuals in attendance. To streamline logistics, parking facilities have been organized at a distance from the main meeting hall.
To ensure the smooth execution of the event, neighborhood-wise committees have been assigned various responsibilities, ranging from services to facilities during the gathering. The Ijtema will culminate with a collective prayer on Monday morning, marking the conclusion of this significant religious congregation in Akola.
