Sultan Abdul Hamid II, the 34th Khalifah of the Uthmani Khilafah (Ottoman Empire) passed away 101 years ago on 10th February 1918. He was the last Khalifah of Islam to rule with absolute power before he was overthrown by the Western-backed Young Turks in 1909.
His disposition ended in the abolishment of the Khilafah on 3rd March 1924, changing the fate of the Islamic world.
