‘Punish The Perpetrators Of Hate’: Tahreek Farogh-E-Islam, Appeals To Govt

Tahreek Farogh-e-Islam, a New Delhi-based organisation has appealed to the government to punish the perpetrators of hate and make comprehensive efforts to end the atmosphere of hatred that has engulfed the country.

Tahreek Farogh-e-Islam held a press meet in the capital on Saturday, against the continuous acts of blasphemy committed against the Prophet Muhammad, and the Qur’an, and the growing incidents of mob lynching of Muslims in the country.

Talking about recent rally carried out by Hindutva groups calling for open genocide of Muslims, at Jantar Mantar and continuous remarks of Yati Narsimhanand targeting the Muslim community Ahsanul Haque Razvi, National Secretary of TFI said, “We approached every possible authority to take cognizance of this hate being spread in the country but, no action is initiated till date against these fanatics. The Delhi Police should have been the first to take cognizance of the crime, but it failed to do so. Almost six months down the line, Narisnghanand is still not behind the bars and continues to spew venom against Muslims and Islam”.

He said, “On August 08, a rally was carried out by Hindu Raksha Dal and Hindutva organizations at Jantar Mantar, the very same place where we were denied to carry out a peaceful sit-in protest, thousands of extremists gathered and raised Islamophobic slogans including derogatory remarks on Allah and calls for genocide of Muslims. When a bunch of people staged a protest against the fascist event on the next day, the Delhi police was quick to detain them, though the very same police did not take action against the Hindutva mob”.

“Every time, when Tahreek Farogh-E-Islam tries to organize a protest the police either pressurizes our leadership or misbehaves with our people. In our last protest police detained all the protesters to prevent us from protesting.”

He said, “since the government and administration are not letting us come up with our demands through protest, we found this way to communicate administration through the media”.

National President Hazrat Qamar Ghani Usmani alleged, “Ever since the BJP has attained power they are conspiring against Islam and hurting the sentiments of Muslims. Not only this, they are providing support and impunity to the enemies of Islam and are persecuting the defendants of Islam. People like Narsimhanand is roaming freely and spewing venom, is it possible without the backing of the government?”

“On one hand, the Prime Minister is promoting “sab ka saath, sabka vikas, sabka vishwas”, but on the other hand, such conspiracies are being hatched against Islam and Muslims. The Modi government must put a full stop to such hypocritical policies. Either it must end the conspiracies against Muslims and protect our rights, or it must declare that the government is against Muslims.” He added.

Mufti Akhtar Raza Mujaddidi said, “the majority is being convinced that Hindus face great danger from Muslims because Muslims are terrorists and traitors. The rights of Hindus can only be protected and the Hindus of this country can only be safe if the Muslims are driven out of the country or massacred entirely. To fulfil this evil mission of the genocide of Muslims, the Hindutva extremists are spewing venom against us day in and day out. Muslims are being socially boycotted and marginalized, Muslims are being treated inhumanely’.

He said, “The outcome of such fascist propaganda is severe as hundreds of innocent Muslims are being killed and murdered in various incidents of mob lynching. Dozens of areas have been deliberately rioted, houses and shops have been set on fire, women have been molested and humiliated, and derogatory statements against Islam, Muslims, the Qur’an and holy figures are being made on daily basis”.

He appealed, “Sincere people from the majority and the current government should realize their responsibilities and punish the perpetrators and make comprehensive efforts to end the atmosphere of hatred that has been breeding since 2014. Otherwise, this hatred will muffle our democracy and swallow the country’s peace and order”.

The event was joined and attended by many prominent people which including Founder and National President of Tahreek Farogh-e-Islam Pir-e-Tariqat Hazrat Qamar Ghani Usmani Quadri Chisti Arman Miyan Sahib (Custodian of Dargah Hazrat Bandagi Miyan, Amethi Sharif, Lucknow), National Secretary Mr Ahsan-ul-Haque Razvi, Hazrat Mufti Akhtar Raza Mujaddidi (Chief Mufti, Darul Uloom Makhdoomia, Jogeshwari, Mumbai), Hazrat Allama Syed Ikram-ul-Haque Quadri (President, Tahreek Farogh-e-Islam, Branch Mumbai), and Hazrat Mawlana Iftikhar Ahmed Razvi.
