The first batch of trainers from Master Trainer’s Development Programme graduated Sunday in a colourful convocation programme. Twenty-nine Trainers received their Post-graduate Diploma in Life Skill development.
The programme under the flagship of ‘India- 2047’ vision document was initiated one year back in Bengaluru by Empower India Foundation (EIF), a national NGO to develop Master Trainers in life skills for catalysing the development of the people in backward areas of the country by developing enough number of trainers. By the culmination of the first phase of the programme today, Master Trainers will venture into the development of Trainers in various Indian languages in the second phase.
The programme was attended by Trustees of Empower India Foundation and other prominent social leaders from the community. Prof. Nishath Khalida Parveen, Vice-Chairperson, Empower India Foundation presided over the function in which Mr Anis Ahmed, General Secretary welcomed the gathering. Mr EM Abdul Rahiman, Chairman of EIF delivered the convocation address. Renowned trainer and life coach Mr Sadathullah Khan was the guest of honour.
Grasstop – The Trainer Network
Mr Abdul Wahid Sait launched ‘Grasstop – The Trainer Network’, at the event. Grasstop is a national network of life skill trainers to mobilise trainer community for social good and for leveraging from mutual sharing of experience and expertise.
Grasstop builds skills and supports the development of emerging leaders through a series of seminars, workshops and other local projects. The program seeks individuals who want to improve their community and give voice to traditionally underrepresented community members.
Empower India Foundation trustees Mr Mohammad Raphy, Muhammed Arif Ahmed and Afsal Chandrankandy attended the event. Mr Rashid CK, Director of the Master Trainers Development Programme (MTDP) presented the programme report. HM Khalil Ahmed was the Master of the Ceremony. Shaik Mohamed Kaleem proposed the vote of thanks.
