Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi Was Born
On this day, on 5 January 1941, Indian cricketer, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi was born. Taking over the reins of the Indian team at the age of 21, he is often described as one of India’s greatest cricket captains. A former prince, the last nawab of Pataudi, is a recipient of the Arjuna Award and the Padma Shree.
