The official Twitter account of the Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) in Karnataka, made public the addresses and personal details of five Muslim students from Udupi who were petitioners in the ongoing Hijab case.
The official Twitter account of the Karnataka BJP President Nalinkumar Kateel also tweeted pictures of the petition- revealing addresses and other personal details of the students.
The Karnataka BJP Twitter handle put out a tweet stating that the Congress party’s leaders, including the Gandhi family, were “using minor girls” as a way to stay relevant in politics and win the upcoming elections.
The five Muslim students who are petitioners in the ongoing court case are minors aged seventeen years old.
The move has drawn outrage, with calls for the tweet to be reported and taken down for violation of privacy.
