National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) Vice-Chancellor professor Faizan Mustafa has been unanimously elected as the president of the Consortium of National Law Universities.
Assuming his post virtually, Prof Mustafa thanked the members of the committee for instilling confidence in him. He thanked the now-former president, professor V Vijayakumar, for his visionary leadership.
The newly elected members of the governing body acknowledged their new president for discharging his duties in his previous post amidst the hurdles faced when National Law School of India University’s sudden decision to opt-out of CLAT 2020.
In the virtual conference that was held to announce the members for the year 2020, the annual reports were briefed. The new executive committee will soon meet to finalise the details about CLAT-2021.
Prof Mustafa has authored many critically acclaimed books in the field of law and has also written articles to plenty of national and international journals. He runs a YouTube channel with the name of Legal awareness where he explains contemporary legal issues in simple Urdu or Hindustani. He is a regular columnist for The Indian Express and The Hindu.
