Man Abuses And Thrashes Muslim Kid For Drinking Water At Temple In UP’s Ghaziabad, Arrested

A Muslim kid was abused and thrashed by a man identified as Shringi Nandan Yadav for drinking water inside a temple in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad. A disturbing video of the incident has gone viral on social media.

In the video, the accused identified as Shringi Nandan Yadav was seen asking the boy his name and his father’s name before enquiring into the child’s presence in a temple. When the boy says that he had come to drink water, Yadav is seen abusing and brutally attacking the boy while his accomplice film the act.

Yadav was also seen twisting the boy’s hand.

The Ghaziabad Police have arrested Yadav in connection with the incident.

According to the Police, Shringi Nandan Yadav is a resident of Bhagalpur in Bihar. The police have taken Yadav into custody and a case has been registered against him.

The video has evoked strong reactions from people online, many questioning the frequency of such incidents and the callousness of the perpetrators.

One Twitter user commented, “First, a Muslim is lynched over beef, then over Jai Shri Ram slogan. And now beaten for drinking water in a temple. So much for sabka saath, savka vishwas when Muslims are being beaten for drinking water’. BJP has incentivized hate and violence!”

Hindutva Extremist

The perpetrator Shringi Yadav is a Hindutva extremist and has a history of assaulting Muslim youths.

In another video uploaded by the Instagram account @hinduektasanghh (now defunct), Yadav is seeing abusing and assaulting a Muslim kid holding a knife in his hand.

His social media profiles are filled with anti-Muslim hate messages and is seen to be inspired by the hate speeches of Dasna Mandir Mahant Yati Narsinghanand Saraswati.

A rabid anti-Islamic hate-monger, Yati Narsinghanand advocates for violence against Muslims.
