Karnataka CM Initiates Multilingual Education In Madrasas

In a groundbreaking move, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah declared on Thursday that, on an experimental basis, Kannada and English, along with Maths and Science, will be taught for two years in registered madrasas. Children attending waqf properties and madrasas governed by waqf institutions will undergo continuous education in these subjects. The curriculum will include other subjects, and students will be prepared for SSLC, PUC, and graduation exams through National Open Schools. The Chief Minister shared this significant announcement in line with Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda’s message, outlining the initiation of this program in the first phase across 100 madrasas.
