The seed investment will accelerate IslamicShop to set up business operations in the international market and in the development of innovative technology in sectors like Food, Pharma, Apparels for both Marketplace and O2O model.
The unnamed HNI is a Canada-based Indian businessman, who has been successfully running businesses in the construction & industrial equipment and real estate for over two decades, and now he has entered into the technology industry with IslamicShop. Besides funding, the HNI will help IslamicShop in expansion in North America by setting the hub in Canada. He plans to set up an automated warehouse with a supply chain distribution model, which would be a hub for the entire western hemisphere, and he aims to set up small-scale production units, particularly for women entrepreneurs with innovative Islamic products. He believes “Entrepreneurship is a core of Islamic values”.
Mohamed Maaz, Founder and CEO of, IslamicShop said, “The global Muslim market is one of the largest emerging economies in the world as it’s the world’s largest & fastest growing Halal consumer. And with Dubai transforming into the capital of the Islamic Economy, IslamicShop is preparing to launch operations in Dubai being partnered by Mohammed Mukhtar, Founder of One&Only International and U-Connect Network. Islamic Shop will also be expanding to Malaysia for the East”.
“Besides expanding regionally, Islamic Shop has planned for sub-ventures to focus on smaller initiatives in Halal sectors like meat-delivery, Halal authentication, education, etc. Islamic Shop has already stepped into the journalism sector with Righteous Magazine headed by Anam Farzeen, in both digital and print media, with the vision to do active & constructive journalism.”
The startup has brought in Dr. Althab Begum MD (Pharmacologist), to lead the Halal pharma and cosmetic sectors. She, with her team of experts, is currently researching to develop products that are safe and authentically Halal.
Maaz says the objective of IslamicShop. In is to “bring back the innovation essence of Islamic Golden Age by uplifting the community technologically and contribute to the economy by creating opportunities.”
