Imam Attacked Inside Masjid In Karnataka’s Farangipete, Assailants Caught On CCTV

In a horrific incident, an imam of a masjid in Karnataka’s Farangipete town near Mangaluru was brutally attacked on Tuesday night.

The victim has been identified as Mushtaq, a resident of Kundapur. According to the police, three people entered the Birgul Masjid near Farangipete and attacked Mushtaq, while he was sleeping inside.

The police said that the incident was caught on CCTV and that the investigation is underway. The imam has been admitted to a nearby hospital and a complaint was filed at Bantwal Rural Police Station. The reason behind the attack is being ascertained.
