In a shocking incident in Uttar Pradesh’s Kushinagar District, two Muslim youths were reportedly kidnapped, stripped, and brutally beaten by members of the Hindu Yuva Vahini, a youth organization associated with Hindutva ideology. Adding to the brutality, the assailants recorded the beatings and widely shared the videos on social media, raising concerns about the safety of minority communities in the region.
Local journalist Minhaj Ansari brought attention to the disturbing case, revealing that one of the kidnapped youths was stripped naked and subjected to severe physical abuse, while the other was forced to endure standing in cold water in a pond for an extended period. The videos, depicting the harrowing scenes, have sparked condemnation from various quarters.
After persistent efforts, the local police have registered a complaint against six individuals: Nitin Madhushya, Aditya Singh, Aryan Singh, Arjun, Yuvraj, and Chandan. Ansari expressed frustration, highlighting the ease with which such incidents occur and the subsequent lenient measures taken by the police.
Shams Tabrez Qasmi, editor of Millat Times, provided additional details, specifying that the incident occurred in Rampur village of Ramkola station in Kushinagar. The victims were allegedly held hostage, brutally beaten, stripped, and coerced into raising Hindutva slogans.
Family members of the victims have vocally demanded swift and decisive action against the assaulters. The police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) and claim to have arrested four individuals connected with the Hindu Yuva Vahini. Aditya Singh has been identified as the alleged mastermind of the assault.
