Dua Of The Week: Dua For The Day Of Arafah

“This day I have perfected for you your religion and completed My favor upon you and have approved for you Islam as religion.” (Qur’an, 5:3)

“By the sky containing constellations. And (by) the promised day. And (by) a witness and one witnessed.” (Qur’an, 85:1-3)

The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “The promised day is the Day of Resurrection, and the one witnessed is the Day of ’Arafah, and the witness is Friday. The sun does not rise or set upon a day that is more virtuous than it (i.e. the Day of ‘Arafah)… (Tirmidhi)

‘Amr ibn Shu’ayb reported: The Prophet, peace, and blessings be upon him, said, “The best supplication is that which is made on the day of Arafah. The best of it is what was said by myself and the prophets before me:

 لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ

“There is no God but Allah alone, without any partners, unto Him belong the dominion and all praise and He has power over all things.”
