Delhi University Students From Kerala Speak Out Against Professor’s “Marks Jihad” Slur

A Delhi University professor’s scathing Islamophobic remark accusing high-scoring students from the Kerala board of ‘Marks Jihad’ has created a stir.

Rakesh Kumar Pandey, a professor at Kirori Mal College in Delhi University, and former president of the RSS-backed National Democratic Teachers’ Front (NDTF) wrote a Facebook post, claiming that:

“A college had to admit 26 students in a course having 20 seats only because they all had 100 percent marks from the Kerala board. For the last few years, Kerala board is implementing #MarksJihad.”

‘Love Jihad’, ‘Land Jihad’, ‘Narcotics Jihad’ and now ‘Marks Jihad’. Delhi University students from Kerala speak out against DU professor’s communally charged ‘Marks Jihad’ slur.

“This kind of venomous and Islamophobic statement should not be entertained in any campus at any cost,” they say.
