Acclaimed Dubai-based Indian businessman and co-chairman of Malabar Gold and Diamonds PA Ibrahim Haji passed away on Tuesday, December 21. He was under treatment at Kozhikode MIMS due to cerebral haemorrhage.
Ibrahim Haji was also the founder and vice-chairman of Indus Motors and chairman of Century Tours and Travel and PACE Education Group.
Born in 1943 at Pallikkara in Kasaragod, he migrated to Gulf in 1966. PACE Education Group is a well-known educational chain in the UAE.
He was a UAE resident for 55 years.
He was flown into India from Dubai Monday night, after he suffered a stroke in the morning of December 11. His wish was to be laid to rest in India.
He was awarded the Pravasi Ratna in 2005 at the NRI Global Meet.
