The two-day Business Summit 2023 officially opened on Saturday, January 14, at Palace Grounds, featuring a wide array of businesses and entrepreneurs showcasing their products and services. The event, organised by the Muslim Industrialists Association (MIA), an 18-year-old non-government organisation based in Peenya Industrial Area, featured businesses from various industries such as clothing, cryptocurrency, travel, baked items, fast food, educational institutions, and interior design, among others.
The MIA business summit aims to provide support for 50 start-ups, from developing the concept to pitching for loans, partnering with 10 technical institutes to offer internship programs for students, increasing their membership base to over 1,000, empowering women entrepreneurs, and assisting companies in fulfilling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) obligations, among other goals.
City-based philanthropist Ziaullah Sheriff of India Builders inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon and gave a speech on the importance of having good intentions, courage, and knowledge in running a successful business. He emphasized the importance of taking calculated risks and seeking assistance from friends or obtaining loans to grow a business.
The MIA was established in 2004 by successful industrialists and businessmen from Peenya Industrial Area with the goal of promoting entrepreneurship in the community and supporting education. The non-profit, charitable society has been serving the community for 18 years.
MIA Business Summit 2023 serves as a platform for entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services, and for the organisation to carry out its mission of promoting entrepreneurship and education.
