The Delhi Police on Thursday arrested a 21-year-old man from Assam, who is allegedly the mastermind behind the ‘Bulli Bai’ app. The accused has been identified as Neeraj Bishnoi.
Photos of hundreds of Muslim women were listed online for ‘auction’ on an app called ‘Bulli Bai’. The women listed, include journalists, writers and activists, vocal on social media and elsewhere against the atrocities on Muslims in the country.
Bishnoi is the fourth accused to be held in the case. He is an engineering student from Bhopal University, and an IT expert, The Quint reported.
This is the first arrest made by the Delhi Police in the case, after an FIR was filed in the case on 2 January.
Earlier in the week, the Mumbai Police arrested three accused – Shweta Singh (19) and Mayank Rawal (21) from Uttarakhand and Vishal Jha (21) from Bengaluru – in connection with the case.
